Hi!

My name is Leah and I am from a small town in Wisconsin.  After college I impulsively bought a one-way ticket to the Artic Circle, Norway, and spent 3 months traveling through different countries in Europe.  The following summer I did it again, and you can best believe I’ll continue.

You will find that my blog focuses on two things: Traveling and hiking.  If I am not currently traveling, I am likely still hiking.

My Idea of Traveling:

Every trip is different, and that is something I don’t force, but embrace.  I don’t travel to simply “check off” destinations. I enjoy spending weeks or months in a country to embrace the culture and experience the local life.  Throughout my blog posts you will find that I stay in hostels or with locals.  Even though I don’t follow a budget, I would consider myself a budget traveler.

Why Am I Blogging?

I didn’t start this blog to make money (although that would be nice).  I created this because my friends and family always claim I don’t post enough about my travels. 

Not enough pictures; not enough stories.  So I hope this helps.

Although this is new to me, I am enjoying writing about my travels and hopes it inspires someone.  And a bonus–running this blog gets me off that darn phone!
